TOP PRICE OF €36,000 AND GLOBAL INTEREST

Mar 24, 2025

The second auction of the year proved to be another great success. Strong international interest and an average price of €11,500 once again underline the global demand for genetically strong showjumpers. The exclusive collection—featuring promising (young) showjumpers, genetically valuable embryos, and the unique artwork Iron Horse—convinced buyers from all over the world.

“We remain committed to making top quality accessible to everyone, and this auction once again shows that it works,” emphasize Alwin and Niels, the driving forces behind Paardenveilingonline. “With us, exceptional talent isn’t out of reach—it’s affordable, exceptional, yours.”

Highly Desired Sport Horses Create Thrilling Final Bidding Moments

A fierce bidding war emerged over the talented mare Ismena Red Wine (Untouched x Nabab de Rêve), descending from none other than Fragance de Chalus. In the end, an American bidder came out on top, securing the mare for €36,000.

The athletic gelding Roman S (Defender VDS Z x Arezzo VDL), from the same line as the 1.60m horse Grieg S, was also in high demand and sold for €24,000 to Germany. For Phinley Blue (Chacco-Blue x Chin Chin), a mare from the dam line of J’Adore and O’Blue, the final bid—after intense competition—also came from a German buyer, who secured her for €19,500.

Rising Stars in Demand Among European Bidders

Young talents also saw active bidding. Champ Tarpania Z (Commil Champ Z x Vagabond de la Pomme), bred from a half-sister of the promising stallion Don Tarpania Z, is heading to Bulgaria for €18,500. Stallion Shanghai (Emerald van ’t Ruytershof x Baloubet du Rouet), a brother to two 1.50m and 1.60m showjumpers, was sold to Spain for €16,000. Finally, the young mare Sornettage B (Mr. Cornet de Regor x El Salvador) caught the eye of a Greek buyer.

Last Chance: High-Quality Gems Now Available

Missed out during the auction? Good news: a few undiscovered gems are still available at fixed, attractive prices. The 3-year-old gelding William H (Robijn van d’Abelendreef x Le Blue Diamond van ’t Ruytershof) is now directly available for just €7,000. Don’t miss this talented jumper from the strong Loma line.

Also available: the gelding Swedish House Mafia MP (El Torreo de Muze x Diamant de Semilly) for only €6,500. With two top sires in his pedigree and a dam line going back to VDL Legodermus PP, this is a unique opportunity for those seeking a budget-friendly talent.

Another standout is Robago Field (Tobago Z x Arezzo VDL). This gelding, from the dam line of Olympic gold medalist Joli Coeur, can be yours for €9,000.

Lastly, there’s the stallion Sjors (Manchester Red Wine x Vagabond de la Pomme), who combines explosive Aganix blood with a proven sport lineage. He is also now available for €9,000.

Top-Priced Embryo Sells for €11,000

The highest-selling embryo, a Chacco-Blue x Colman out of a sister to no less than five 1.60m jumpers, was sold for €11,000 to a Dutch buyer. Another eye-catcher, the Balou du Reventon x Baloubet du Rouet embryo—bred out of the same dam as Corlou PS and Diacentio PS—was also sold to the Netherlands for €7,500. Both embryos are already implanted and represent world-class bloodlines—a true investment in future top-level performance.
